Within the frameworks of the Federal Target Program "Researches and Developments in Priority Directions of Development of Russian Scientific and Technological Complex, 2007-2013”, event 5.3, the RISTC carry out a work under the federal contract with the RF Ministry of Education and Science on a competitive basis. The name of the work is
Russian-Indian Round Table on"Effective exploration of the available mechanisms for promotion of joint innovative projects, commercialization of results of research and technological developments is a significant potential for Russia and India for industrial modernization”.
The Round Table was held in October, 16-18, 2012, in Metropolitan 5* Hotel, New Delhi, India. In the course of the session meetings scientists, developers of innovative technologies and equipment, representatives of business societies of both countries had the opportunity to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation and the promotion of joint scientific and technological and commercial projects. Also the members of the Russian delegation visited a number of organizations, including the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.
The Indian counterparts also expressed interest to many suggested technologies and developments. The bilateral meetings resulted in signing 7 Memoranda of Understanding and 1 Agreement for Cooperation.
The participants of the event accepted Final Protocol that contains recommendations for increasing effectiveness of the Russian-Indian cooperation in the sphere of technology transfer. Besides they spoke for holding the next Round Table next year.
