||On September 1, 2015, in the RISTC conference hall there was held a meeting with the Indian delegation, which arrived at Moscow to participate in the VIII meeting of the Working group, Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between Russia and India.
The delegation included:
-Dr. Sanjeev K. Varshney, Chief Scientific Officer of international cooperation Division, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India;
-Dr. Rama Swami Bansal, Chief Scientific Officer for the Directorate of International Scientific and technological Affairs, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India;
- Dr. Arvind Dixit, acting Counsellor S & T, Indian Embassy to the Russian Federation in India.
There was an informative discussion on RISTC work. Presentation of results for the period of time, passed since the previous meeting in 2013.
There were discussed perspective areas of the Centre activity and the ways to enhance its effectiveness Dr. S. K. Varshney offered organizational assistance in establishing contacts between Russian and Indian scientists and technologists, in particular, to organize in Moscow a working meeting with the representative of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI).
Dr Rama Bansal also expressed readiness of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India, to cooperate with RISTC.
