FANO. Seminar "Mechanisms for commercialization of research results: the prospects for Russian-Indian scientific and technological cooperati

On November 21, 2014 Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations, Russia (FANO), with the support of non-profit partnership "Russian-Indian scientific and technological centre" (RISTC) held a seminar on " Mechanisms of commercialization of research results: the prospects for Russian-Indian scientific and technical cooperation". The event aimed to promote the results of innovative Russian scientific-technical developments and research results to the industrial market of India. The event was attended by Deputy Director of the RF Ministry of education & science International Department Dr.Victor Smirnov, Counsellor S&T, Embassy of India in Moscow Dr. Rama Swami Bansal, Deputy Head of Department for cooperation with Russian Academy of Sciences and support of activities for FANO Scientific-Coordinating Council, Eugene Stepanova, Deputy Head of FANO Department for Planning and economic management Alexey Novikov, General Director of NP "Russian-Indian S & T Centre" Sergey Sukonkin and representatives of about 30 institutions, subordinated FANO, Russia.

The workshop participants discussed the problems and challenges in the promotion of the results of innovative Russian scientific-technical developments and research to the industrial market of India. As noted by the guests of the event, the meeting laid the foundation for further cooperation between researchers from India and Russia.

The participants also got acquainted with the possibilities of RISTC in organization of the Russian-Indian joint research projects. During the seminar, RISTC Deputy General Director Lyudmila Kornaukhova told about the characteristics of the tools and mechanisms for promoting the results of research and developments to the Indian market.

It is planned that such a seminar will not be the only one and the promotion of Russian developments will continue.
